Cuttlefish In Ink
All our cuttlefish is pot-caught in season during April and May when they have matured and had an opportunity to reproduce. Pot or trap-caught cuttlefish is a responsible and ethical way of harvesting this delicious mollusc, and it has a very similar flavour and texture profile to squid.
The cuttlefish is preserved in a rich, beautifully balanced sauce using its own ink. Enjoy folded through steamed rice with a dollop of aioli and lemon. Warmed up on toast with chopped tomatoes and parsley.
All our Conservas are hand made in small batches & lovingly packed in Dorset.
